The Hecherhof is one of the oldest farms in Viehhofen – first mentioned in a document in 1272. It has been family-owned since 1764 and is now run in the eighth generation by the Breitfuß family. The farmhouse itself tells its own story: about centuries-old walls, old doors that creak, and a floor that many generations have walked on – and that has been lovingly renovated with a lot of heart.
Where people used to work with horses and scythes, there are now suckler cows, goats and even hunting dogs. The Breitfuß family has constantly developed the farm – with courage, sustainability and a strong connection to nature. Whether it’s Alpine salmon farming or game refining, Jaga-Alm or guest rooms – the Hecherhof has always been a place for new ideas rooted in tradition.
Surrounded by alpine meadows, mountains and animals, the Hecherhof is a place that decelerates and connects. Here, the family lives what they love – agriculture, hunting, crafts and hospitality. Anyone who spends their vacation here quickly notices: This is not just any farm – it is a real home with history.
